We are so grateful for our partners from Ghana who visited us in the fall 2014.
Four members of our partner churches in Tema, Ghana, spent a two-week visit with us.
The purpose of this visit was to further our formal relationships with Redemption and Greenwich Meridian Presbyterian Churches, create more personal relationships between clergy and members, and plan some action steps toward a joint mission project in or near Tema.
We look forward to planning Westminster's 2015 trip to Ghana!

Tribute to Mama Alice
Rev. Mrs. Alice Kyei-Anti ,"Mama Alice", as she is widely known at home, led Westminster’s mission trips to Ghana in 2011. Planning for this trip began when she was in Albany in fall 2010. Below is the tribute to Mama Alice (who retires this year) and more information about the trip, her faith journey and her work in reducing the maternal death rate and fighting infection in Ghana.

Kids and Youth Day with "Mama" Alice
Westminster Kids and Youth spent their Columbus Day 2010 holiday at church. Rev. Alice Kyei-Anti and NYS Assemblyman Gordon lead the kids in a hands-on discussion on how decisions are made at the NYS Assembly and the decision making body of rural Ghanaian villages. Most everyone had a part in acting, be it as a Chief, Queen Mother, Village Elder or a a NYS lawmaker. Celebrating Christopher Columbus' heritage, we made delicious homemade pizza for lunch. The kids had a great day!
