I'm having trouble deciding what to say. How do you report on the faces of smiling children? How do you convey to others the smell in the air on an early morning in the hills near Akropong? How do you talk about dancing in church and watching old women wave a white handkerchief with contagious joy?
No doubt, I will find something to say. I am a preacher after all - we never run out of words.
I want to be true to the experiences I had in Ghana and to the people who welcomed us. I will try to capture the wonderful ways that their lives are Ghanaian and tell my American friends all about it.
