Jesus, as you have taught us, we pray for our enemies. We bless those who curse us, we pray for the well-being of the city that holds us captive, we pray for all who would do us harm. And today we pray for the mothers of our enemies, for the mothers of those who hurt us, the mothers of the people who have killed our sons and daughters. May these women, who remain unknown to us, be filled with your forgiveness and know your peace in their hearts. Fill us with this same forgiveness and peace.
Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
